EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Caroline grew up in Dublin, Ireland, where she graduated from the Sion Hill Montessori College with a Diploma in elementary education. She also holds a Diploma in Music from the Incorporated Academy of Music, Dublin, and a Diploma in Speech and Drama from the London College of Music. She has earned Levels One, Two, and Three certificates from the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF). Caroline is currently completing her master’s degree in Biblical Counseling from Faith Bible Seminary in Lafayette, IN.
Caroline recently retired from a 35-year career in education where she directed her own pre-school, taught children for many years, and acted as the Principal of Prairie Creek Community school, an elementary Charter School in Northfield, MN for 14 years. During this time she worked with hundreds of children and their families. She has also worked in children’s ministries at Bethlehem Baptist Church for ten years. Caroline has been married to Spencer for 40 years, and has two adult daughters, three grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren. When she has some spare time she loves to read, knit, bake, and play with her grandchildren.
INTERESTS AND SPECIALITIES
Caroline loves to counsel children and teens. She has a particular interest in working with families and considers this a very important part of her work with children. She has experience with anxiety, anger, self-injury, eating disorders, troubling thoughts and behaviors, child sexual abuse, sensory integration, and parenting issues. She uses play, puppets, sand-tray play, and the expressive arts in her biblical counseling.
